Synopsis of Film Mohabbatein : The story begins three young men arrived at the train station one night and it becomes an instant friendship. They all will join the prestigious private schools of India, Gurukul. Gurukul is run by a stern headmaster named Narayan Shankar (Amitabh Bachchan). He isis a discipline that believes institute run by the principles and rules . Apparently students are drawn from universities across the country to study in Gurukul and the headmaster had high expectations of them. Additionally, Narayan Shankar has implemented strict anti-romance - every student who becomes romantically will be expelled.
The three friends all have their hearts set on a different girl. Sameer (Jugal Hansraj) works in a cafe and fell in love with his childhood friend Sanjana (Kim Sharma). Unfortunately for Sameer, she has a boyfriend. Vikram (Uday Chopra) captures Ishika (Shamita Shetty) to steal apples from the Gurukul gardens, and fall in love at first sight. Karan (Jimmy Shergill) became interested in Kiran (Preeti Jhangiani) when he saw him to wait for the train. Kiran is married to an Army officer who never returned from war, and she behaves as if her husband was still alive because his father-in-law, Gen. Khanna (Amrish Puri), who holds the hope that her son was still alive. However, Sameer, Vikram and Karan all choose not to take their romance to the next level, for fear of Narayan Shankar and how he stressed.
